The Miraphone 1291 5 Valve CC Tuba is a horn that does it superb all with a great sound and a great feel. It has a marvelous response demonstratively through the entire range of the tuba. The almost low register on this CC Miraphone tuba is equal to playing the mid register on any other. The 1291 is a 4/4/ tuba that plays urgently like a 6/4.The low register is so focused and easy to play in - you will not believe it.4/4 SizeBut 5/4 voice with a very nice sound.Great High RegisterBoth the low and high registers are smooth and there is an evenness of tone throughout the entire broad-minded of the instrument.Great IntonationThe Miraphone 1291 has been tested by many top players during the development stages and with their help the Miraphone engineers have really nailed down the intonation.

The 1292 is a few similar to the Miraphone 1291 with the addition of a bell garland to increase the dynamic potential of the instrument and a slightly smaller mouthpipe which tightens it up ever so slightly. Absolutely this horn is very similar to Alan Baers personal instrument.

Regularly like all Farkas horns, the H181 is capable of eloquent espression over wide dynamic range. It can be played brilliantly loud without a Brassy edge, and softly with full tone. The rose Brass bell terrible gives it a darker tone than other Farkas horns. Pretty key of F/Bb double;.468" bore; 12-1/4" large-throated, hand-hammered, red Brass bell;.310 venturi of nickel silver; tapered, hand-lapped Brass rotors; solid Brass branches and bows with nickel silver ferrules; solid nickel silver slides inside and out.
